Build A Subportfolio Group

Use the subportfolio feature to group and look at a collection of companies to help you make comparisons based on your business needs. Learn how to create and add companies to a subportfolio group.

Getting Started: Create A New Subportfolio Group 


1. Navigate to your Manage Portfolio Page and scroll to the Manage Sharing and Portfolio Groups Section. 

 

2. Select the  ADD GROUP button to open the form. 

 

3. The form will open in a dialog box, allowing you to create a new subportfolio group. You can use any title and description you like. Remember, companies can be added to multiple subportfolio groups. You can create as many subportfolio groups as you need. Each subportfolio will generate it's own benchmark and comparisons on your Insights Page once you've added companies to it. 

Add A Company Already In Your Portfolio To A Subportfolio Group


There are lots of ways to add a company already in your portfolio to a subportfolio group. 

From the All Companies Table In Manage Portfolio

Located at the top of your Manage Portfolio Page, each company in the All Companies Table will have a  button to all you to add it to an existing subportfolio group. 

 

Clicking the button will open a dialog that will allow you to select the subportfolio group to add this company to. 

From The Existing Subportfolio Group

Each subportfolio group you've already created will have it's own table on the Manage Portfolio Page and can be selected individually from your Insights Page. 

Select the button on the table for the existing subportfolio group to add companies. The button will open a dialog to all you to select companies already in your portfolio to add. Remember, you can add companies to multiple subportfolio groups. 

Remove a Company From A Subportfolio Group


1. Find the subportfolio group's table you'd like to remove the company from in your Manage Portfolio Page.

2. In the row of the company you'd like to remove, you should see a  button at the end. Click this button. 

3. The will open a dialog box asking you to confirm that you want to remove the company from that group. You will be able to add it back at any time and the company will not be removed from your portfolio. 

Edit Subportfolio Groups 

Located on your Manage Portfolio Page, the Portfolio Group Management Table will allow you to keep track of, edit, and remove your subportfolio groups. 

See when a group was created, how many companies are in it, and use the edit and remove action buttons at the end of the row to edit and delete groups as needed to suit your needs.
